Install Tearleads on Linux

Install the desktop libraries

On Ubuntu 24.04, refresh the package lists and install the libraries:

sudo apt update
sudo apt install \
  libgtk-3-0 \
  libwebkit2gtk-4.1-0 \
  libayatana-appindicator3-1 \
  librsvg2-2 \
  libnss3 \
  libasound2t64 \
  libgbm1

Download the archive and its checksum

Save the Linux archive and its SHA-256 checksum file in the same folder. If your browser shows the checksum file as text instead of saving it, right-click the link and save the linked file.

Verify the download

Open a terminal in that folder and run:

sha256sum -c stable-linux-x64-b8c4fbe30841b23f1acd94f2a1dcd2e5ada3c8dc44f2ec35aa5af4167606035d-Tearleads-Setup.tar.gz.sha256

It prints OK after the archive name when the file matches.

Extract the archive

Extract the .tar.gz archive with your file manager, or run this in the same terminal:

tar -xzf stable-linux-x64-b8c4fbe30841b23f1acd94f2a1dcd2e5ada3c8dc44f2ec35aa5af4167606035d-Tearleads-Setup.tar.gz

Run the installer

Open a terminal in the folder with the extracted installer file. Don't use sudo; run it as your regular user:

./installer
